Extremely slow service and paid "doggy bags". While traveling around Saronno we decide to stop for lunch in this restaurant, attracted by the photos of the place and the dishes, which are actually very good. Pan tranvai with lard and space honey, very good cheese platter and tasty and plentiful risotto with osso buco. The place was full (even if there weren't many seats), it took more than a quarter of an hour to take the orders (and we had to attract the attention of the staff), the starters took about 20 minutes but the risotto took us it took more than half an hour since we finished the first course. Good because maybe it is made at the moment, but maybe they should write it on the menu to get "hands on" and prepare the customer. Unfortunately the surprise came on the way out: not having finished all the appetizers and a portion of risotto, we asked to take home what was left over. No problem, within 5 minutes we had everything packaged on the table. It's a shame that, without telling us anything verbally, we were charged €1.00 for the two plastic trays, something we've never seen anywhere. Considering that we paid €3.00 each for a table "set up" with a disposable skimpy paper placemat, paper napkins and not very fresh bread, I find this "silent" charge on the receipt which unfortunately I have I only noticed when I was leaving because I looked at the receipt.

Restaurant with Lombard specialties in Saronno, along via Roma. The internal room, entirely made of wood, is truly characteristic: the tables are large and well spaced. We tried first courses, second courses and dessert. All very good. Right price. Recommended for lunches with friends or a romantic dinner. They do the menu work Monday through Friday.
